Your audiovisual heritage is invaluable but ravages of time might ruin it. Our preservation warehouses are here to protect and preserve your medias according to professional standards.

Humidity, dust, vinegar syndrome, heat, are the enemies of your medias. For some, you will have to run a restoration process, or a security conditioning but for you most valuable assets an heritage conditioning will be needed

Let's be pragmatic ! The more you wait, the more you might lose money. Just compare the cost of a film restoration with the cost of a dedicated conditioning? Here's the difference between anticipating and reacting.

Film conditioning

Before being stored, elements (film, magnetic) are re-conditioned - metallic boxes are replaced by plastic boxes, fims are dried up, bagged - or set to rights if deteriorations are visible ( glue marks, spots, perfs...).

In special cases, in order to reduce the humidity variance inside the boxes, we add a Kodak-type molecular sieve acid scavenger. This sieve needs to changed every two year.

FICA film preservation treament and storage

FICA (Film Conditioning Apparatus) is a low-cost conditioning process for negative films, interpositive and internegative mainained at low humidity and temperature.
The film is wound off at slow speed to control the winding tension.
The films is demoisturized at a 25 % relative humidity rate.
The films iv vacuum-conditioned in aluminized bags.
The film is stored in 3°C cold room.

This type of storage is dedicated to long-lasting preservation (over 500 years according to recent studies) of cinema film originals and security elements (interpositive and internegative)

Box conditioning

When you own rushes, production records files or tapes that you cannot identify singly, we recommend box conditioning. Theses specially-designed plastic boxes (40 or 60 liter capacity) will remain your property in order to ease their transfer to other storage sites. The hard plastic boxes guarantee the security and integrity your material during transfer and handing operations.

Single conditioning

Single elements and the archive box are labelled, transferred to and bonded on shelf in our storage sites.
