SECURE, ADAPT, PRESERVE: EACH MEDIA DESERVES ITS OWN METHOD
Each media has its own constraint and weakness. Each customer has his own goals in terms of preservation and re-use. That’s why, Capital Vision offers tailored solutions to its customers for their medias preservation needs : air-conditioned storage, standard storage, cold storage rooms or FICA. Air-conditioned storage This kind of storage is devoted to small storage units with a relative humidity of 50 % and a 15°C temperature. Dedicated to masters and dubs, audio tapes, production and post-production materials, the air-conditioned storage guarantees the best quality available for an over-ten-years preservation duration. Standard storage Tapes are stored individually on shelf or gathered in a plastic archive box in storage rooms with an hygrometric rate always inferior to 60 % and a temperature inferior to 22°C. This type of storage is dedicated to rushes, control tapes, copies, production and post-production materials. FICA film preservation treatment FICA (Film Conditioning Apparatus) is a low-cost conditioning process for negative films, interpositive and internegative at low humidity and temperature:
This storage is dedicated to long-lasting preservation (over 500 years according to recent studies) of cinema film originals and security elements (interpositive and internegative). Cold storage Following the FICA treatment, films are stored in vacuum conditions in cooled rooms (T = 2°C) for preservation. This storage needs a 24 to 48 hours deconditioning time in order to restore a standard temperature and humidity rate. Questions, remarks? Please contact us at info@capitalvision.fr |
